Promoting sustainable growth

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral component of the successful development of any business, and PhosAgro has made CSR one of its top priorities in managing the Company’s activities.

We are committed to creating value for our shareholders in a sustainable manner, while minimising our environmental footprint, working in partnership with local communities and prioritising the very highest standards of health and safety for our employees.

PhosAgro’s CSR activities are underpinned by the following key principles:

  • Ensuring job security and quality of life for our employees, and supporting the regions in which we operate
  • Ensuring full compliance with environmental rules and regulations
  • Ensuring Russia’s food security
  • Developing the domestic mineral fertiliser market and the country’s agricultural output.

The Board of Directors of PhosAgro has established two committees that share responsibility for CSR — the Remuneration and Human Resources Committee, and the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee (see “Board Committes”). All of the Company’s subsidiaries have internal departments responsible for employees’ welfare, environmental control and occupational health and safety. In addition, an internal CSR audit is carried out at all of PhosAgro’s enterprises in accordance with established corporate procedures. The purpose of the CSR audit is to confirm the compliance of the quality management system with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the OHSAS 18001 standards and with the Company’s own requirements, and to identify areas for improvement.
